Meatball Pitas

Here’s another quick and easy recipe courtesy of Quaker Maids.

 meatballpitas

Ingredients

  • 1 package of Mama Lucia Italian Style Meatballs
  • 8 small pita breads
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cubed feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped black olives
  • 1/2 cup chopped shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano

Heat the meatballs on the stove top with red pepper flakes and oregano. Heat the pita breads in the oven on low heat until warm. Once heated, place 2-3 meatballs in each pita bread. Top with feta, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. As cheese begin to melt, top off with lettuce, onion and black olives. Serve “taco style” for a snack or main meal.

Lunch At Tarot Cafe

Tarot Cafe is situated at Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce, next block to Bing! Coffee. As the name goes, the decor in this cafeteria comprises of tarot cards framed up nicely and displayed on a section of the wall. Foodwise, it serves a mixture of Western, Malaysian and simple Chinese dishes.

My rating for food is 4 out of 10. Nothing to shout about.

Kolo Mee From The Noodles Expert

The Noodles Expert is one of the most sought after kopitiam (coffee shop)  which sells Kolo Mee. It is located at Kenyalang Park, the new shops on the right hand side after the Shell Station. The noodles used for this dish is handmade and the texture is just nice. The price for one regular bowl of Kolo Mee is $3.00. Mind you, you have to be prepared to wait for at least 1/2 an hour for your order but trust me, it’s worth the wait! It’s definitely one of the BEST KOLO MEE in Kuching.
