Lunch time has a way of sneaking up on a lot of us busy mothers. Once this happens we find ourselves looking around our pantries for something quick and easy to make. Thankfully you can make a kid friendly lunch dish from almost anything that you can find in there. Here are a few ideas to help you get started:
-
Add some steamed broccoli or a can of green beans and some chopped ham lunch meat or canned chicken chunks to a box of macaroni and cheese.
-
Take a box of stuffing and mix it with your favorite can of soup. Pour these together into a casserole dish and bake it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until the top is golden brown. You can also open a can of chicken and add it to the mix.
-
If you happen to have some tortilla chips place them into a microwavable dish and top them with some canned chicken, canned vegetables and some cheese. Simply microwave this until the cheese melts. You can serve it with salsa and sour cream. Kids love this feeling lunch because it’s more like a snack.
As you can see, simply by looking around your pantry you will be able to come up with a lot of quick, fun lunch ideas. These aren’t only good for kids but adults will also love them too. All it takes is a little creativity in order to make something delicious and filling the next time you need a lunch dish.
