This is another baking attempt over the weekend. Looks good and if I may say so, they certainly tasted as good. Remember, these are dinner rolls and not hamburger buns, so the texture of these rolls are not as soft.

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp of dried yeast
  • 50 g sugar
  • 120 g milk
  • 60 g water
  • 30 g butter

Directions (using Thermomix)

  1. Combine yeast, sugar, milk, water and butter using speed 4 for 2 minutes.
  2. Add flour to  mixture.
  3. Beat for 1  minute at  speed 4.
  4. Knead for 2 minutes until dough becomes smooth and elastic. If dough is too sticky, add flour and knead some more.
  5. Once dough texture is right, remove from TM bowl and place dough in a pan/bowl. Cover with damp towel and let the dough rise until double its’ size. May take up to an hour.
  6. Deflate the dough by punching it down. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces and shape into balls. Place them in greased baking tray and let them sit for another 30 minutes.
  7. Egg brush the top of the dough and then bake in preheated oven at 200C for 15 minutes or until done.
  8. Serve warm.
