The smoother two are without filling (man tou) and the other two had kaya filling

I tried the Thermomix recipe but instead of using sweet potato, I used commercial kaya as the filling. I used the Blue Key brand pau flour for this recipe but the steam buns did not turn out as fluffy as I would have liked. But I guess, it was ok for a first attempt. At least my picky eater kids gobbled one each, so that proved the buns passed the test. On another note, my “reviewer” did say, “Next time make it a bit softer ya”.

No recipe to share coz you can easily get it from the Thermomix recipe book, that is if you have the Thermomix of course. It was so super easy to make, and the whole process took about an hour only, including letting the dough stand and steaming time. What I love best is, unlike conventional cooking, there aren’t a lot of cleaning and washing to do. Yippeeee! Will make more attempts and see whether I can improve on the texture of the pau.
