This is the very famous stall which started from Bormill Estate. The owner’s wife was interviewed by Ah Hung (Taiwan Chef) and featured on Astro sometime back. Apart from that, this stall has also been featured on other local food channels. They have now branched out to a stall in Sekama and another in Hui Sing. The Bormill stall has moved to this new coffee shop at Tabuan Laru, called “Tien Chen“, which is located just opposite Tan Sri Ting Pek Khiing’s house.
I had a short interview session with the Tau Keh Nio (woman boss) who runs the stall and she told us that she started her stall in 1996. That’s more than 13 years’ track record and they are still running strong despite the competitions. As you can clearly see from the picture above, a regular bowl cost $4 and large/special cost $5 per bowl. My rating is 4 out of 5.
Apart from Ah Yu Laksa, there are other stalls like Kolo Mee, Mee Sua, Seafood Mee and a Seafood Stall which operates at night.
